Fast Search Unit Buys Soccer Site FootballForums.net

Fast Web Media, a Manchester web design subsidiary of Norwegian search ad business Fast Search & Transfer, is buying FootballForums.net after is owner went in to administration. It’s pretty straightforward – FootballForums.net is little more than an installation of Vbulletin forum software with 18,750 registered members and a claimed 26,000 monthly users. Its parent FanBanta, a soccer discussion site, collapsed.

Fast Web, whose parent got a 6.6 billion krone (£639.73 million) bid from Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) in January, has 30 staff in Manchester and already runs the 4thegame football news site, which already operates a much less popular forum of sorts. The size of the deal wasn’t disclosed. Via How-Do.
