By Robert Andrews

This just in: Loic Lemeur’s video blog commenting platform Seesmic has raised $6 million in second-round financing from eBay (NSDQ: EBAY) founder Pierre Omidyar and Wellington Partners via its London-based partner Eric Archambeau. The startup will use the funds to further develop the platform, add mobile functionality and internationalize.

Two other bits of Seesmic news – the enterprise has enabled Seesmic video playback within Twhirl, the Twitter client it acquired in April and it launched an improved video player with threaded conversations. Seesmic just got a $6 million first round back in February – $5.5 million from Atomic and the remaining $500,000 from a list of web types including Steve Case, Michael Arrington, Jeff Clavier, Reid Hoffman, Ron Conway, Dan Gillmor, Michael Parekh, Steve Garfield, Mark Pincus, Ariel Poler, Jeff Pulver, and Martin Varsavsky.
