If you’ve ever played LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation 3, you may have delighted, like me, in how Guildford-based developer Media Molecule fused a cutesy aesthetic with a creative design engine that people use to build and share each others’ levels, with pay-for downloadable content underneath.

Now the studio, which was acquired by Sony in March, is planning a sequel. Here’s how it plans to give players even more creative freedom – and take the results out on to the web…
