VideoJug Licenses How-To Vids To Polish Publisher Agora

By Robert Andrews
Originally published by paidContent paidContent, paidContent paidcontent:uk • 19th May 2008

Video how-to site VideoJug has inked a deal to license its videos to Polish publisher Agora. The site will translate “several hundred” of its 40,000-strong video library (eg. How To Get A Cheap Pint, How To Make A Cup Float In Mid-Air) for distribution across Agora’s sites, which include the Gazeta.pl newspaper site. No mention of advertising but it’s likely Agora will manage addition of pre-roll video ads. Release.

Agora is VideoJug’s first significant international deal, though it is also powering bookseller Barnes & Noble’s just-launched Quamut video guide site. Agora last week bought Turkey’s Trader.com classifieds site and wants to become the number-three portal in Poland; see my interview with publishing director Michal Kreczmar.
