Mobile Moves: O2 Music/Ents Heads Quit; Trutap Adds Product, Biz Dev Heads

– O2: Just as O2 gets its mobile content act together, two senior members of that team are leaving, NMA says. Head of music Matt Cockett is quitting after five years to join New Stream Media, a live events company, and will be filled in for by head of games and gambling Antony Douglas. Cockett’s loss comes seven days before O2 starts offering a certain music-and-calls device called iPhone. A former BBC and Reuters (NSDQ: RTRSY) journalist, Cockett joined O2 from Vodafone, where he worked on the Vizzavi portal. Meanwhile, head of entertainment content Anne-Sophie Lanier is leaving after three years to join Sony (NYSE: SNE) Pictures Television International’s mobile entertainment team. (Via NMA). In recent months, O2 has started pseudo-unlimited data tariffs, a MySpace tie-up and commissioned mobile TV drama productions. Now what’s going on?

– Trutap: Trutap, a new mobile app from London that offers blog posting, multi-protocol IM, group SMS, web photo-sharing and access to existing social networks, has hired Midentity product manager Luke Brynley-Jones as its head of product and iTouch sales head and European business development manager. Brynley-Jones was co-founder of Etribes. Trutap, whose CEO and co-founder is former Dragon’s Den judge Doug Richard, in September racked up a second $6.5 million (£3.23 million) investment round led by Tudor of Boston.
