U.K. telco, broadband and TV operator Virgin Media has hired former 3 marketing director Graeme Oxby as its new MD. Oxby was marketing director at the 3G network until he quit in January, but he will now report to Virgin’s COO Neil Berkett and will be charged with developing Virgin Mobile’s integration with Virgin’s other offerings. The group was formed when Virgin Mobile merged with what was then called ntl/Telewest late last year, prior to the group’s rebranding this spring. Virgin Media offers quad-play consumer packages encompassing all TV, data and telephony packages, but the mobile component is not yet as integrated as the fixed-line element. (Via NMA).
