Industry Moves: DJ-Ingrassia; CBS Interactive Sales

— News Corp’s (Nasdaq: NWS) Dow Jones (Nasdaq: DJ) takeover has claimed its first top-level personnel casualty. DJ VP of news strategy Paul Ingrassia told Reuters late Monday that, after 20 years in the company, he “will be leaving probably after the first of the year”: “There just didn’t seem to be an appropriate place for me in the company” … “[there wasn’t] any role that really excited me”. Ingrassia’s operational review last year concluded with a plan to differentiate DJ’s online operations whilst avoiding duplication within the company.

— CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS) has restructured CBS Interactive sales, focusing on three core areas: CBS and CBS Mobile headed by Richard Calacci; the CBS Audience Network, and headed by Kenneth Lagana; and headed by Kevin Menard. Calacci, Lagana and Menard, each of whom now hold the title of SVP, CBS Interactive, will work closely with Stephen Snyder, COO, CBS Interactive as well as the heads of each of the CBS Interactive properties.
