Industry Moves: EA Mobile Names Ex-Voda Exec Tim Harrison EU Marketing Director

Electronic Arts’ mobile division in Europe has hired former Vodafone games boss Tim Harrison as its director or marketing, reports Mobile Entertainment. Harrison had worked with industry standards body OMTP following his departure from the mobile carrier. Now he will join EA Mobile in September, from when he will work with the company elsewhere around the world on digital game distribution. EA Mobile revenue has rocketed in the last couple of years, though it was flat in Q2 2007. The company has spoken of using mobile in a multi-platform games set-up, not just as another platform to which to port big console titles. Both EA and Vodafone have previously worked together, placing the gamer maker’s titles on the carrier’s Live portal.
