– Bebo: Bebo UK will follow up its Loneygirl15 spin-off KateModern with another interactive drama, Sofia’s Diary, developed with Sony Pictures Television International this autumn, C21 reports. The series can be traced back to 2003, when it began in Portugal as an experimental multimedia narrative drama on mobile and the web, including WAP chat and SMS games. It has since aired over four series including in US, Germany, Brazil, Chile, Turkey and Vietnam.

– Setanta: Setanta, the Irish pay-TV operator that shook up English football by winning a third of the rights to live Premiership matches, is streaming all 48 Rugby World Cup 2007 games over the internet via its Setanta Sports North America website, C21 reports. It’s following a deal with Servecast. Viewers can watch individual pay-per-view games or buy a season ticket pass. They will get commentary, pre-and post-match analysis and half-time filler. The two-month tournament kicks off in France tomorrow. Just the thing if you’re stuck in an American office with no way to watch Wales lift the trophy in Paris in October.

– Tipped: Microsoft UK former long-time head of mobile Joel Brazil has added another site to the growing number of Web 2.0, place and service rating services. A local business recommendation platform, Tipped aims to let “consumers to separate the best places, businesses and services in the UK from the worst” and includes a mobile version (see announcement). As mobile head for Microsoft’s UK online services group, Brazil had been responsible for wireless integration for MSN and Windows Live.
