Mobile media delivery vendor weComm of London is partnering with video encoder Vidiator of Milan to offer a live sports audio service from a major sports broadcaster. Subscribers will get several audio channels consisting of real-time conversations between sportspeople from a range of teams around the UK. Also in the branded weComm mobile app from the as-yet-unnamed broadcaster will be live news, information and sporting stats. WeComm is behind BSkyB’s (NYSE: BSY) Sky Anytime mobile app, which delivers live TV channels, EPG, remote PVR recording, news and scores for channels including Sky Sports. The latest move is the first in a series of expected partnersips between weComm and Vidator.
