UK Bits: MSN Blog News; Zaoza Coming To UK

MSN/Pakistan: MSN UK is following in the footsteps of the Frontline Club and Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) (via Kevin Sites) by sending its own freelance reporter on an overseas SoJo (solo journalism) mission. It’s commissioned Ben Hammersley to document the Pakistan elections. Hammersley, who also blogged and Twittered last year’s Turkish elections for BBC News, is using an MSN Spaces space, The Frontline Blog to post blog entries, photos and video.

Vivendi (EPA: VIV) Zaoza: The French media group said its Zaoza digital content store, due to launch in some territories in March, would roll out to the UK by the end of the year. Zaoza offers unlimited music, ringtones, video and games to mobiles and the desktop for three euros a month. The big idea – customers will get to share that content with up to five friends. And Vivendi has spent a reported $10 million on the project. More at mocoNews.net.
