UK Round-Up: Store, Times Premium Content, ITV Relegation?

Metro store: National freesheet Metro is to launch an online shopping portal this month as part of a deal with e-tailer Affiliate Window, the same outfit that runs Sun Online’s store. The Associated Newspapers title aims to improve on its website’s 2.5 million global unique visitors since June by doubling its UK online audience.

Times Online: The News International title is seeking increased digital revenue from its mobile platform and website through SMS alerts, mobile games and monetising its vast picture archive. The Times has already opened up its archive to readers, free for now as an introductory offer. Now says it wants to increase its premium content – but there’s precious little detail on exactly how.

ITV: The troubled broadcastercould drop out of the FTSE 100 as early as next week after its value dropped 60 percent in the last year. The London Stock Exchange makes its quarterly reshuffle of company rankings on Tuesday, with the results out on September 22
