MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA) International is promoting digital media SVP Gideon Bierer to EVP level, though for the same topic and continuing to report to MTVNI president Robert Bakish – a reward for what the outfit says was international web traffic growth, revenue increases and advertising innovation. New York-based Bierer will oversee online and mobile, including content and platform creation and partnerships, charged with executing MTV’s US mission overseas through “worldwide synergies”. Oxford grad Bierer took the digital helm in 2005 after serving as SVP for international biz dev with the US wing.
