— Times/WSJ: The Times’ Washington-based US editor Gerard Baker is moving over to become deputy editor-in-chief of News Corp stablemates The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS). The move is seen as shoring up the editorial side of WSJ after the departure of Marcus Brauchli, who stepped down as managing editor in April, and the editorial reorg in July, when the paper let go of 50 reporters. Baker will report to former Times editor Robert Thomson, who formally replaced Brauchli as managing editor in May.
