Bringing up the rear, Independent.co.uk and Mirror Group grew their user base. In aggregate, though, traffic dipped 1.6 percent to 135.5 million uniques – the third consecutive fall since a January high of 140.2 million.
For what it’s worth, the lead is now changing hands on a monthly basis – expect May to see a significant uplift for Telegraph.co.uk, going off its expenses scandal coverage. None of this necessarily correlates to how profitable the news groups’ online operations are…
