Industry Moves Roundup: Tambala To Digital Stores, Morgan To Videoplaza, Johnston Secretary

Digital Stores: Former Ministry Of Sound internet head Rudy Tambala (pictured), who left the dance brand in a big online cutback in August, is taking a non-executive directorship on the board of Digital Stores, a company that enables direct-to-consumer retail for music rightsholders.

Videoplaza: The video advertising company is hiring Blinkx’s European biz dev director as its own UK commercial director, as it looks to grow out of its native Sweden. The firm counts Sydsvenska Dagbladet and TV4 as clients back home in Scandinavia, and Incisive Media in the UK plus a recent deal with MyVideoRights, which will use its Monetizer platform.

Johnston Press: The regional newspaper publisher’s secretary Richard Cooper has retired, after 13 years with the company, and has been replaced by solicitor Peter McCall.
