Industry Moves: TalkTalk CEO; BBC PR, NatMags MD; Adify

TalkTalk: Carphone Warehouse’s TalkTalk ISP — soon to spun out as a separately listed company — has named former Tesco and Sainsburys executive Dido Harding as its CEO. That means both sides of Carphone’s de-merged empire will be run by former supermarket managers: Best Buy Europe CEO Scott Wheway spent 20 years at Tesco. From Telegraph.co.uk.

BBC PR: The comms head of Beeb’s Vision TV-producing wing Paul Almond is taking a new role. He will now lead comms for a new social media unit comprising FM&T and web output, plus a new social media manager that’s to be named, Digi Spy says. In a similar-sounding move, ITV.com PR Ben Ayers switched to an active role in online audience engagement in March.

NatMags MD: Jessica Burley is standing down next month for unnamed new opportunities, PG reports.

Adify: The ad agency’s UK account management director Emmet Geaney has left the company, without a job to go to. The company hired former MySpace UK sales chief Nick Reid earlier this month. From NMA.
