Sky Will Use iPhone To Beat BBC On Football Highlights

BSkyB (NYSE: BSY) is planning to upgrade its Sky Sports Live Football Score Centre iPhone app “in the next few months” to include video highlights of goals from Premier League matches, C21 says.

Sky mobile head Emma Lloyd says the satcaster will post the clips before incidents are aired on Match Of The Day on Saturday evening – but users will have to pay either a day or month pass.

The impressive Sky Mobile TV app, offering eight live sport and news channels including ESPN (NYSE: DIS), is currently doing a great job of convincing me to pay its £6-a-month access fee by offering a three-month free trial.

The Sky News app this week passed a million downloads and Sky’s six-strong app line-up also includes Sky+ remote recording. Downloads themselves for all apps is free.
