Mobile Content Bits: Opera On iPhone, AND Ad Sales, Ofcom’s BT Rules

Opera on iPhone: Fresh from forcing Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) to offer browser choices in Europe, Norway’s Opera is copying Spotify by daring Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) to approve its iPhone browser app, which would challenge the phone’s native Safari. Via Mashable.

AND ad sales: UK news publisher Associated Northcliffe Digital, currently on a big mobile drive, is tapping ad sales house Unanimis, now owned by Orange, to sell ads across its apps and mobile websites. Via NMA.

BT (NYSE: BT) rules Ofcom says BT must open its phone exchanges’ local loops to next-gen-speed broadband providers in the same way its Openreach unit has done for the last few years. BT had already committed to the process for 10 million homes by 2012, costing £1.5 billion.
