A new industry conflab for tech execs was inaugurated at the Dublin Web Summit on Saturday. The Founders gathering assembled startup co-founders including Skype’s Niklas Zennstrom, YouTube’s Chad Hurley, Twitter’s Jack Dorsey and Bebo’s Michael Birch.
Judging from coverage, there’s a new optimism that Ireland, which attracted many technology and internet companies during the 90s and Noughties partly using European regeneration funds, can emerge from its currently crippling public finance problems with digital entrepreneurship in tact.
