Idio, a small company which offers web content aggregation and analysis tools, is acquiring Thrudigital, which develops social media applications.
The price is not disclosed.
Idio founder Edward Barrow (via release): “The thrudigital team have deep experience in social media monitoring, enterprise social networking and analysing ‘big data’.
“This is a significant step in our strategy to create authority and insight for major clients through intelligent content and customer data decisioning.”
Thrudigital MD Charles Dalton-Moore becomes Idio operations director.
The buy gives Exeter-based Idio a London office.
Thrudigital has made social web apps for the likes of ITV (LSE: ITV), Downing Street and the NHS.
