Twenty-nine percent of the revenue of the most successful mobile apps in the UK comes from in-app purchases made in free apps, according to new research by Distimo for Mobile Entertainment Forum.
That’s the highest prevalence amongst the seven European countries Distimo examined for the research.
The UK and France lead the way for revenue that comes in through in-app purchases in free and paid apps.
Distimo adds: “Significantly more applications are downloaded on Saturdays and Sundays than on weekdays. The difference between weekdays and weekends on the iPad is larger than on the iPhone.”
