BSkyB (NYSE: BSY) will introduce clickable pre-roll ads in its mobile video output after contracting a new web video ad tech firm.
Sky is enlisting Freewheel to power its online and mobile video ads, in what is one of the Silicon Valley firm’s UK client wins since opening a London office recently.
BSkyB has a growing line-up of mobile video for Sky News, Sky Sports News and across its Sky Player multi-platform VOD and live service.
Sky had previously been using Saffron Digital, which was contracted to delivery mobile soccer video, to serve ads in that video.
