More social marketing consolidation as Beyond buys Content & Motion

In further sign of digital marketing agencies consolidating social media-specific shops, Next 15 group’s Beyond agency is acquiring UK-based social marketer Content & Motion (C&M).

Beyond CEO David Hargreaves calls it “a major milestone in our history” for the San Francisco firm:

“We have been missing the final piece of the jigsaw – a deep capability in driving social engagement: the ability to drive ongoing social engagement around the content and experiences that we create.”

C&M plans and executes “social PR” campaigns for clients including Symantec, Autodesk and Truprint. Beyond says C&M’s data-driven approach to campaigns will improve its capabilities.

Deal terms were not announced.

Beyond’s owner Next 15 also operates the Bite Communications tech PR firm.
