SlingPlayer Available To UK Windows Mobile Users

Sling Media has released the Windows Mobile version of its “place-shifting” client to UK users, the::unwired reports. The Windows Mobile version of SlingPlayer, which mobile and PDA users can use to watch TV beamed over the net from the SlingBox in their lounge, was already available in the US and Canada, but the operating system has a much lower share of the European mobile market, where Symbian enjoys greater penetration. A version had already been available to Symbian users via a carriage deal with the 3 UK network. UK users can now get the Windows Mobile download – it does not yet work on the recently-released Windows Mobile 6.0 but a workaround is in circulation.
