WPP Unit Acquires Majority Of Tech PR House AxiCom

Cohn & Wolfe, the PR agency owned by advertising giant WPP, is buying a majority stake in tech-centric European PR house AxiCom. The price is undisclosed, though AxiCom did £5.8 million revenue in 2007. London-based AxiCom’s clients include Brightcove, Sling Media and B2B publisher Incisive; Cohn & Wolfe has Joost, Sellaband and O2 though is not limited to tech. Cohn & Wolfe said it wanted a European agency to complement its US and China operations. Release.
