Broadband Content Bits: iPlayer Series Stacking; ITN-Bebo; BBC Local Opposition; Veoh For EU

iPlayer series stacking: Series stacking, one of the proposed features the BBC Trust ordered to be scaled back last year, will go live on September 13. The feature will make all episodes in a programme series available online, even outside the seven-day window, as long as the series is on-air. But the trust’s stipulation that the feature should apply to just 15 percent of BBC shows means only some shows will benefit. The quota will be averaged over a year and reviewed after two years. Stacking comes first to the web iPlayer, later to the app and to Virgin Media (NSDQ: VMED) cable. Release.

ITN/Bebo: The news agency’s increasingly busy ITN On multimedia unit is adding Game On, its new games video show for Cranberry Publishing
