Broadband Content Bits: Tesco-Warner, BlinkBox-All3Media, EastEnders-YouTube

Tesco MP3: Tesco Digital, the supermarket’s digital media store, has got Warner Music UK’s agreement to sell its repertoire in the MP3 format. The agreement includes new “premium album bundles” containing extra content like remixes, interactive booklets, videos and rare tracks.

BlinkBox: BlinkBox, the website that lets users send and share movie and TV scenes as “blinks”, will now start offering full-length shows from Shameless and Peep Show maker All3Media. It’s a big departure from BlinkBox’s original aim – offering short-length, tong-tail clips – and sees BlinkBox become the first third party platform, aside from the broadcasters themselves, to distribute All3Media’s shows.

EastEnders: BBC Worldwide has set up an EastEnders channel on YouTube, an archive of clips from the soap’s 13-year long tail. It’s the second such channel from BBCWW following its Top Gear YouTube and MySpace channel launched in August, and comes on the back of BBCWW’s existing YouTube relationship.
