Paris-based IM add-on maker Iminent has raised a 2.5 million euro (£2 million) second round of funding to aide international expansion. Iminent’s IMBooster app for Windows adds emoticons, big emoticons and “video winks” to existing messaging clients, while it’s “chapter” feature lets people decorate and share chat transcripts as widgets. Its FireNudge add-on lets users shake each other’s IM windows remotely. Funds come from I-Source Gestion and previous investor 360º Capital Partners. I-Source said it will help Iminent “strengthen the technical team, launch new services and expand the company internationally”. There doesn’t appear to be any advertising funding. (Via release).
